They are family.
For over 40 years, the Klose family have dedicated their lives to animal care & welfare. In 1983, they opened a zoological park to help protect endangered wildlife:
Jungle Cat World Wildlife Park
All the staff are pet owners, many of whom have had to bury their own beloved animals in the cemetery.
It's with sympathy and understanding that they offer their services.
In the mid-1970's we laid to rest, in a simple field near our home, our beloved German Shepherd, Senta. After years of faithful commitment to the family it was our final deed of endearment. Soon after, friends asked to bury their adored pets nearby. At the request of other caring pet owners, the cemetery was eventually opened to the public in 1976.

Havelberg Pet Cemetery is now the finaly resting place for thousands of beloved pets, each memorial a testament to their unselfish devotion, loyalty and unconditional love.
Through all these years our family has shared in the laughter and tears, in the stories that each marker tells and each gravesite hides; laying sod gently on the deceased pets of others as if they were our own. It's with our deepest sympathy and understanding that we offer our services.
Havelberg Pet Cemetery hopes to ensure that your pets will live forever as cherished memories.
"Spring" has been a part of our family for over 18 years and we miss her dearly. We really appreciate everything you have provided for us during this difficult time for my family. Thank you so much.

We enjoy visiting, walking around and reading all the interesting epitaphs. There is a lot of love in this place.

The cemetery offers year-round burial for pets, including a pick-up service, cold storage and an Urn Conservatory in the chapel (though we don't offer cremations).
Ceremonies can range from simple to elaborate. Each service is unique, depending on personal preferences and beliefs. Some bury their pets in coffins, while others wrap them in a blanket. Flowers, poems, photos, toys and treats can be included.
You have the option of being present for the burial or visiting the plot after the pet has been intered. Following custom, each burial site is prepared by hand. You may request to help in the preparations or to set the first shovel of earth when saying good-bye.
BURIAL: Site preparation and burial is $600.00 (plus tax), which includes a beautiful Stone Marker with your personal thoughts and love engraved. Also included is a Seasons Pass to Jungle Cat World Wildlife Park, which is located near the cemetery.
There is an additional $100.00 charge for large pets and oversized burial containers. For horses and other large animals, please inquire.
PLOT RESERVATIONS: For those that wish to plan ahead, plot reservations can be made with a downpayment of $100.00
GREEN FEE: There is an annual $30.- maintenance fee to help keep the cemetery clean and attractive. Perpetual care can be arranged for a one-time payment of $300.00
PICK-UP SERVICE: For added convenience, Havelberg Pet Cemetery can pick-up and transport deceased pets to the cemetery, where they can be buried immediately or kept in cool storage until the owners arrive. Rates vary according to distance. The average fee for pick-up in the Toronto area is $150.00
URN CONSERVATORY: Included in the design of the Chapel built in the summer of 2003, is an Urn Conservatory. There are only 24 storage units, each available for a one-time fee of $500.00 which includes a Memorial plaque.
CASKETS: Made from white, high impact Polystyrene, the Tribute Pet Casket provides an excellent seal against water and air.
To ensure the preservation of the cemetery and the memories that flourish there, a Trust was developed. This financial treasury is used to maintain and develop the grounds. Decades from now, our children's children will be able to visit Havelberg, a memorial park representing the love, admiration, and respect for our beloved pets.
